Pine Cliffs resides in a breathtaking location on a majestic red cliff top surrounded by towering pine trees and overlooking miles of unspoilt beach. This extensive resort with fantastic facilities offers a magical atmosphere that is firmly family friendly but with enough sports to keep active couples more than interested.

The main hotel has recently enjoyed major refurbishments with gorgeous new look Premium rooms and simply stunning Ocean Suites (luxury apartments) which a situated near to the beach and the hotel’s lobby area. The very contemporary one, two and three bedroom Ocean Suites share their own pool and are decked out in sleek muted colours and boast a fully equipped modern kitchen with the very latest Siemens appliances.

Alternatively parents who like plenty of space and the flexibility to self-cater, we highly recommend the Pine Cliffs Residence Suites two and three bed classic luxury apartments, which surround a large restaurant, pretty free form pool and children’s poolA.

There is a breezy affectionate feel to these colelction of Residence Suites, situated in blocks away from the main hotel. Immaculately presented spacious rooms and manicured lawns will make you completely relax into a communal village-style atmosphere. Garden access rooms (at a supplement) are a must and are located on the ground floor with terraces that spill out onto the surrounding grassy areas.

Pine Cliffs Terraces apartments, located nearer the hotel, are a selection of three and four bedroom contemporary townhouses. These feature a more modern and traquil vibe, all clean lines, glass surrounds and super-slick styling, which mostly appeal to adults or families with older children. White washed walls and a gorgeous multi-level infinity pool with wooden decking create a cool Miami-type feel.

There’s so much to keep you entertained including one of Portugal’s most original golf courses, a golf academy, Annabel Croft tennis academy, Health Club and an indoor pool (there may be a charge). The new state-of-art futuristic Serenity Spa (1000m2) boasts an impressive thermal circuit and focuses on holistic therapies, leaving all who enter totally revitalised.

The large range of restaurants mean you can eat in a different place very night and there is no need to leave the confines of the complex. We love Piri Piri with its gourmet meat dishes in a garden setting, the fabulously trendy Japanese Yakuza or the Beach Club which takes on an intimate and refined setting in the evenings (seasonal).

The magnificent sandy beach is accessed by a lift followed by a wooden walkway and there is a variety of water sports and a lovely Beach Club (seasonal). The full-throttle children’s village is one of the best in Portugal with a playground shaded by towering palms, small go kart track, two giant wooden pirate ships and a swimming pool.

529 rooms & suites in the main hotel, Ocean Suites, Residence Suites,  Terraces & Villas.

Reviews

23-June-2017 / H Brown / Customer rating: ★★★★★★★
Beautiful location, outstanding accommodation. Friendly staff and great family resort. Very expensive but as in a luxury apartment so we didn`t mind eating in mostly. Clean!

13-June-2017 / Anon / Customer rating: ★★★★★
The staff, accommodation and food were absolutely excellent. The downside was that there were not enough swimming pools and the playground was disappointing. The pirate ship looked great from the outside but once you were on it there was nothing to do apart from one steering wheel that span. The swimming pools were quite small and had no features that made it more interesting for children. This resort is advertised as a family resort but we did not feel that there was much for children to do. There were not enough sun beds at the beach and we had to walk a long way with our three children, buckets and spades to a public beach and pay for some beds and broken umbrellas.

13-June-2017 / Neil / Customer rating: ★★★★★★
Amazing great accommodation and resort facilities. Kids club could be better, more organised and with better and easier booking systems.  Current system is very frustrating, complicated and time consuming. Needs better service around the pools and restaurants. Food OK, could be a lot better for 5 star.

13-June-2017 / Suzie / Customer rating: ★★★★★★★
Amazing resort with fantastic staff and great facilities. Perfect for young families.

12-June-2017 / Sarah Cambridgeshire / Customer rating: ★★★★★
We have been there many times and love the location and service. Now renovated to a very high standard.

Every journey starts with a small step! Thanks to Travelbeam for a good deal, that was well arranged and communicated. Sheraton Pine Cliffs. Always a great stay. Beautiful hotel and resort and weather to match. Thanks!

11-November-2015 / Natalie / Customer rating: ★★★★★★
Amazing villa, service and facilities, a place so relaxed you definitely like to go back too.

18-September-2015 / Dave Sherry / Customer rating: ★★★★★
The resort, service, and weather are all great. Reservations requires improvement.

I requested blocks S1-S4. I was allocated block S7. I clearly told them at that was pretty poor and didn`t want the allocation and quite frankly was unsatisfied given that the request was made and at no stage prior to arrival was it ever suggested that it may not be able to be satisfied (whilst I accept there was no guarantee). They made us stay in S7 for 1 night then pack up the kids and bags up and move to S1 for the remaining 4 nights!

I would like to book the block in future - we are talking about huge distances (in kids terms) to the only 1 heated pool (next to block S1) and playground otherwise.

If this isn`t possible in future I wouldn`t go again.

15-September-2015 / Mwanida Aina / Customer rating: ★★★★★
The resort is family orientated, offering very good quality accommodation. The restaurants around the resort offer good variation of cuisine, though varying in quality, and value for money.

The amenities for children are excellent, with older children being catered for as well as the young ones.

Our accommodation was well maintained and of good quality, certainly above what one would term `standard`, however one has the feeling that the resort itself, overall is due an upgrade/refurbishment to haul it into the `luxury` category.

The Villa/hotel/resort concept is unique and offered us a means to have a cross between hotel and self catering accommodation which was very welcome.

Staff were lovely, incredibly accommodating and eager to make one`s stay as pleasant as possible.

One big minus was the lack of Wifi in the Villa (apart from communal areas - e.g reception). Coupled with a massive €10 per day for connection to a limited number of devices, this was a surprisingly draconian arrangement in these technologically advanced times we live in.

19-August-2015 / MDG / Customer rating: ★★★★★★
Great resort - lots for the kids to do (mini golf, numerous pools, beach etc.) and they really enjoyed the mornings they went to kids club - the girls in there were fabulous and ensured a big range of activities for the children. And as they were happy it meant we could relax and enjoy ourselves too.

Our townhouse was in a great spot - just in front of the hotel which made going to/from the pool and beach very easy with toddlers in tow.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful too.

The food in the resort was very good - we ate in the various buffets 3 nights and there was so much selection, it was wonderful to have the kids be able to try new things without having to commit to ordering a whole portion of something. The restaurants were expensive however - as were drinks etc. but I suppose that is to be expected for a luxury resort.

There were a number of restaurants just outside the gates of the resort too which were cheaper. We went to one of the Italian restaurants one night and had a lovely meal. The supermarket is just outside the gates of the resort too and had a good selection of most of the things we wanted.

The arrival & drive through the grounds of the hotel was a heartwarming experience. You immediately had the feeling of cleanliness, expanse & luxury. Getting out of the taxi at the reception area, these happy positive vibes continued. However, arrival at the reception desk some of these dream qualities were squashed. Although a request had been put in early to the hotel, because of the arrival time of the flight, could the room be ready early. It was not! There appeared to be no concern or urgency shown about preparing the room & it was only some hours later & after quite a fuss was made we were finally allocated a room. Not our original room. The room was of a reasonable size, pleasantly decorated and a good view over the gardens. The room was kept clean but certain inconsistentsies were apparent. Clean bedding was not provided every day (although nearly every), the room was not checked every evening (although some evenings) & sometimes just one chocolate. Bizarre! You either are a luxury hotel or not. The balcony was both quiet & private, with a comfortable table & chairs. But no sun umbrella which made it difficult to take advantage of the area. Luxury hotel or not?! All staff were friendly & helpful - if a little thin on the ground. The restaurants we visited & the food we ate were always of a high standard.
We were at the hotel for the wedding of a freind. Wonderful setting. Truly a magical day. We would go again.

04-August-2015 / Steve / Customer rating: ★★★★
The suite was excellent, well furnished and spacious.
The restaurants were good and there was a good selection of food.
However, we found the "village" to be spread out over a large area with poor transport links connecting the main hotel and the villa reception area where we stayed.
Generally, all of facilities were overcrowded because of the shear volume of guests.
It appeared to me that staffing levels were below the levels required for a 5 star complex. Its seems to me that the operation is trying to operate on staffing levels that it may have been some years ago before the increase in the number of rooms or apartments. When we asked a simple question, there was too much of maybe, could, should be when trying to arrange a shuttle to take us to the hotel...in the end we walked the 20mins. Coming back at 10pm it was worse, because the water sprinklers were set to cover the path as well as the grass so we all got wet.
The swimming pool beds were all full by 10am indicating again that facilities haven`t been increased in line with the extra guests that were now present.

Sincere thanks for organising our holiday in The Sheraton Algarve Pine Cliffs resort.
It is a truly 5* experience at every level, from the standard of the apartments, variety of facilities for families, to the quality of dining in their many restaurants. The staff here are friendly and extremely helpful. The beach is scenic, peaceful, well resourced and patrolled by life guards.
We had a fantastic family holiday and can`t wait to go back. This resort meets the needs of families of all ages from very young to elderly and everyone in between.
I simply cannot recommend it more highly.
Sincere thanks in particular to Sarah at Travel Beam who gave us an excellent and honest resume of the resort prior to booking and was extremely prompt in responding to queries and questions afterwards.
The whole experience was flawless from start to finish.

Our second visit to this resort. It is the only place we have ever returned to! Great destination for a family. I`m sure we will go again.

05-November-2014 / Paul Mullen/ Customer rating: ★★★★★★
We had another excellent holiday at Pine Cliffs this year. Two points worth mentioning that would make the experience even better:
- the resort still makes a daily charge for wifi access. This is not what you expect from a five star resort and I would say is not typical nowadays (we have just stayed in a five star hotel in Rome where wifi access was complementary). A small thing but pretty annoying.
- the changing/showering facilities at the beach are very basic and would benefit from being upgraded

14-August-2014 / Bryan / Customer rating: ★★★★★★
Good all round. Hotel certainly looks 5 star but residences and associated facilities are more like 4 star. Excellent friendly helpful staff. Varied and good catering. Residences well appointed and roomy, surroundings nicely landscaped and well maintained. Main pool rather cold and crowded, but smaller pool warmer and less so. Slight lack of parasols. As a family holiday with small children hard to beat. Children`s club not well run or imaginative and no evening entertainment for children are minor complaints. Would go back again under same circumstances of a three generation holiday.

10-August-2014 / Margaret / Customer rating: ★★★★★     Our third visit and we really like it. Perfect with my children aged 9 and 10 (and previous years since they were 7 and 8). For really small children the long (despite the lift) walk to the beach could be pretty grim, especially in the heat of the day. The beach is lovely and safe with clear water which is shallow a long way out. There are life guards and a really lovely (if busy) beach-side restaurant. O Grill is a great buffet restaurant (although it could vary a bit more day to day) and we like Piri Piri too. Stunning cliff top bar serving great cocktails etc with a beautiful view out to sea. The pools at the hotel can get a bit crowded but the one by the residences is lovely and there are plenty of loungers. The staff are universally friendly and helpful. Lovely gardens and the mini golf is great fun. The tennis courts are annoyingly hard to book for good times of day - my son was disappointed when there were no morning/evening slots at all so we couldn`t play - but we obviously just needed to be more organised. My only real reservation would be that our accommodation (block S6 - although I think some in that block might be better) had all the terraces looking onto the road/a car park (both quite quiet but unattractive). When I asked to move the manager said there was nothing else available. I`d booked 7 months ahead and requested blocks S1-S4 (as my mother in law was staying in the hotel and we wanted to be close) and never been told this wasn`t possible. That got things off to a bad start and it would have been much nicer to have sat in the evenings with a view of the gardens or pool. Otherwise all really good. The accommodation is of a really high standard and very well equipped.

10-August-2014 / Emma Vullo / Customer rating: ★★★★★★ Fantastic spacious accommodation Resort offers the best of both worlds - Hotel & self catering accommodation. Great for families with small children. Plenty of choice with a Selection of swimming pools and restaurants. Fantastic Golf & Tennis facilities. Definitely recommended HB as restaurants were quite expensive. Great beach & beach restaurant. Well kept grounds. Only negatives only free wifi in reception & lots of children in main pool as travelled in school holidays.

30-June-2014 / Daniel Shepard / Customer rating: ★★★★★★ We have travelled a few times with Travelbeam (Almyra, Cyprus and Porto Sani, Greece) and this was the best yet. We are a family of four with two young children (3 & 1), so having a large apartment meant we could really enjoy our evenings in the living area or balcony without disturbing the children but with having the benefits of hotel facities on our doorstep. The apartments are very well appointed and offer everything you might need.

We had a half board package and glad we did so as eating in the hotel would have been very expensive and it would have been quite inconvenient to eat outside of the hotel each time as the resort is large and it takes time to get to the outside world.

We generally like to try a different hotel, resort or country each holiday, however, we enjoyed the Pine Cliffs Residences so much that we are thinking of re-booking to go next year.

I hosted my daughters wedding at The Sheraton Hotel, this included 74 guests, everything went according to plan from the actual ceremony in The Tabu Garden to dinner on the Sunset Deck and a late night party in the private disco on the beach. The standard of food and drinks was excellent and the service throughout was faultless. Our accommodation at The Pine Cliffs Residences was of an excellent standard but the distance from our accommodation to the Hotel was greatly marred by the fact that the mode of transport which was usually a little train was broken down, only to be replaced by a very very inefficient mini bus which only carried 8 passengers which was therefore usually full on the first pick up point., with 2 young children this was a totally unacceptable service. The Hotel staff in the reception at Pine Cliffs were very unsympathetic and made no attempt to amend the situation. I felt rather annoyed at the amount of money we spent from start to finish on the whole event. The bars and restaurants in the complex are of a fairly reasonable standard but very expensive and the entertainment very limited.

This was our fourth visit to the Pine Cliffs, overall we had a lovely stay. We had to change our room to move block to a quieter zone. We ate half board and ate at Olivier by the beach two nights and the Piri Piri steak house on our last night. We had a good deal with a free upgrade to half board. It was a great end to a months extended stay in the Algarve. Would we go back? Possibly but with new hotels on the block and we no longer need childcare. Good points: the rooms , the shower , really comfortable beds, great kitchen and all washing utilities. The beach restaurant , the Piri Piri restaurant the cliff top bar, all very child friendly . The pools all five we swam in !! Bad points : o grill restaurant not great overcrowded and queued for breakfast, pretty average buffet in the evenings. Not good for a 5 star hotel . Much better to use the £ towards the other restaurants.

After having stayed here twice previously three years ago,we were hoping for the same experience. We were slightly disappointed. We wanted to eat at a particular restaurant at 8.45pm to be told a table wasn`t available, when clearly there was a empty indoor restaurant! When I made a complaint suddenly there was a table available! In one of the of the other restaurants we had to send two of the meals back! The cleanliness of the hotel is faultless.

Great resort for families with young children and also those with older/teenage children who are into sports. The kids` club and related facilities are of a high standard and the tennis academy is fantastic, with quality coaching available. Location is very picturesque, with lovely views of the beach and coastline from the cliff tops. And with just a 15 minute ride into Vilamoura by taxi, you can easily go out for dinner or do a bit of shopping off-site as well. The only weaker point is the food; not as good as, for example, Vila Vita Parc along the road, but still of a decent standard (we liked Piri Piri the best...have the Piri Piri chicken if you like a bit of spice). The accommodation in the Residence apartments is excellent - loads of room, lovely décor and a very well fitted out kitchen and laundry room. Would highly recommend this resort, and we plan to go back for sure.

09-August-2013 / Craig Doyle / Customer rating: ★★★★★
The resort itself was lovely, very clean and beautifully landscaped and cared for. I thought, considering the cost of actually going there, the extras were slightly ridiculous at times. e.g. 5 euro to play mini golf, 10 euro to pick up hire bikes, I felt these should have been included and portrayed the resort as a little greedy. The food was expensive and not justified by its quality. It was fine, but way way over priced. The service was not five star service for he most part, I rarely complain when on holiday. but when I told the waiter my food was cold being laughed at was a surprise to me. So they are the negatives, overall the place is fab, but with the price of staying there in mind the service needs to be upped quite a lot.

Excellent residence apartments. Good food. Stunning setting. Service a little slow. Beach cafe menu limited. Wine menu limited. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

09-August-2013 / R Warren-Fisher / Customer rating: ★★★★★★
The Sheraton Algarve is one of our favourite places to take a relaxing family break. It is set up so that you can begin to enjoy the holiday from the moment you arrive. This year we opted for an inclusive package which was good, but the food after a few days stay does become a little predictable. Having said that... we had a terrific time!

08-August-2013 / Kirsty / Customer rating: ★★★★★★
Our 5th year in a row ! We can`t find anywhere else to rival the location and relaxed feel. The residences are great to stay at and the children adore the resort, can walk around it and are treated so well.

I have been to the Pine Cliffs on 3 consecutove years. To be honest the service have really slipped. We had a 1/2 board package and was very disappointed that they cannot substitute the dinners for lunches. In the end we felt that is was extremly expensive for what it was - 5 Euros EACH for a game of pitch and putt was a rip off! We will not be returning and the hotel really needs to get their act together - 5 star prices for very average service.

I thought that the pine cliff hotel was amazing clean, the grounds were stunning but the rooms were not that good for what we paid I expected better quality, there was too much furniture for the amount of room in the room we were in 215 and the rooms was tiny overlooking onto someone else room. The bathroom were old fashioned and very basic for the standard of hotel. Also only one bar opened in the evening so after dinner you had to sit in the pool bar which is in a restaurant so was very adward to sit down for a drink.

Very clean, very good quality, lovely pools, very kid friendly. Restaurants were a bit disappointing: expensive and overly complicated.

03-September-2012 / Zara Carson / Customer rating: ★★★★★★
We have been to Pine Cliffs 4 times now and we always enjoy our stay. Being such a family-friendly hotel though we would expect there to be plastic plates and cups already in the Residence apartment. We would also expect the use of a high chair and a cot to not have any additional charge. It is a 5 star Resort and an expensive one so I would expect, as standard, the staff to be of a high quality, friendly etc. Sometimes it was felt there were not enough staff on at the Corda Cafe which is popular with young families at dinner time circa 7pm.

07-July-2012 / Alan Church / Customer rating: ★★★★★
The 2-bed appartment was a long way from most of the facilities, a good 10 minute walk from reception which, with a tired three year old, made eating at the main hotel area difficult without a buggy which we had to hire from Porto Pirata. At the beginning of our holiday, many of the facilities were not available, the deli was only open on certain days for a short period, two of the restaurants were not open and the restaurant at the Residence was only open for breakfast and lunch. During the second week, everything opened, the train started operating and it became much easier. Despite this, we had a great time, the staff were charming, the choice and quality of the food was excellent. Just a bit more information on facilities before the main season starts would have been helpful.

10-May-2012 / Jean Macleod / Customer rating: ★★★★★★
Accommodation was very comfortable and attention by staff was excellent. All hotel staff were pleasant and helpful. The range of food on offer in the Jardin Restaurant was wide. Salad choices were excellent. Vegetables rather boring. Breakfast fruit choices are outstanding! Wines were overpriced in the restaurant Internet Access in the Business Centre was interminably slow but a charge of 10 euros/hour for WIFI was not acceptable Golf facilities are excellent however 6 euros for a basket of 46 balls is extortionate! For comparison, our local London Driving Range charge is £6.50 for 100 balls! We very much enjoyed our stay and I hope that the above comments are helpful.

14-September-2011 / Sheepdip / Customer rating: ★★★★★★
The hotel was well equipped and very good indeed. However one major improvement which would be very inexpensive is if they could erect a shade area on the beach (just one of those portable garden awning/marquee things) which would then allow children to play much longer on the beach. This small thing would have improved our holiday 100x and would make us more likely to go back which we are unlikely to do as the temperature was too high and the shade too little.

08-July-2011 / Grahame / Customer rating: ★★★★★
We have enjoyed this destination three times prior, so expectations were very high. Unfortuneatly the arrival and reception process was very bad, which had a knock on affect for the first 24 hours. We had previously requested the same appartment or the same block as our previous visit, which although not guaranteed as booking was relatively early we were adivesed it should not be a challange. On arrival(incidentally the collection from Faro was pefect)we were advised by the receptionist that they allocate rooms on block when the time suits and do not necessarily take note of requests, stating they were not aware of our particular request, despite showing them the booking form and correspondance. Claiming all appartments for the entire resort were fully booked with arrivals the same day, which in itself is quite insulting to ones intellegance, We stated that the appartment allocated was not suitable being one of the furthest away and by the perimiter road , not good for a 5 year old, this was greated with a shrug of the shoulders and dismmissed An hour later the assistant manager came to see us, claiming also they do not allocate rooms on request, and the resort was fully booked. I asked to see their room allocation, and some 20 minitues later suddenly found an appartment close to where we requested. There was no real activity for the next 24 - 36 hours at the resort, but did get busier on the Sunday, but with families only staying for 2-3 days, which proved our point that the management just could not be bothered. Perhaps we have just been lucky in the past. Our introduction letter arrived 3 x days after we checked in, a welcome pack ordered by friends of ours did not arrive at all. Overall the resort is still very good, restaurant/bar staff - excellant, as was the maid service, accomodation and most services. Spoilt only by the general attitude and almost incompitance of the reception staff throughout the complex. eg we were invited to a presentation of the new sections added to the resort but none of the staff new where it was. As a side issue as we travel to this destination with a 5 year old expecting to be able to enjoy the family sections would it be a good idea if the resort infornmed us the childrens Pota Pirate are was closed for renervation before accepting the booking. Not sure you would wish to display this. Sorry Grahame, Paula & Reece

Excellent hotel very well suited to families with young children. Food / drinks pricey but good quality and decent choice of restaurants.

24-May-2011 / Carla Surtees / Customer rating: ★★★★★
We really love staying at the pine cliffs as it really caters for family holidays and has everything that we need for the children. The childrens club is excellent and the facilities too. However, we did find this time round that the service wasn`t as good as last time. Hopefully this will improve.

05-April-2011 / Peter & Sue Hopkin / Customer rating: ★★★★★★★
We could not fault this hotel; room and service were excellent; the buffet style dining was plentiful and varied; we used the indoor pool most days; the grounds are spacious and enjoyable for walks. We were very fortunate with the weather; perhaps not too many facilities should the weather have been inclement. Overall though 9\10; this was our second visit and we could well return for a third. The airport transfers also worked well. Easy Jet was OK, but not 5 star. Peter and Sue Hopkin

Almost perfect. Beautifully kept grounds and public spaces. Several swimming pools (but only one heated, which is why it was `almost` perfect - in October half-term). Lovely beach, in very attractive setting. Food good, but not fantastic, and very expensive but that`s just the way with 5* hotels. We had a three double-bedroomed ground floor apartment in the Residences which was roomy, light, well-equipped and spotlessly clean. Courteous, helpful staff (who all seemed to speak good English). Very very large site, which was one of the main attractions for us. Beach was 15 minute walk, hotel for meals 10 minutes. We were aware of this beforehand and had no problem with it but could be a problem for families with very small children and people with impaired mobility. Overall, extremely pleased.

24-June-2010 / Mr J Cox / Customer rating: ★★★★★★
Very good hotel and our apartment was great - spacious, well equipped and clean. Very child / buggy friendly. Resort is large so can easily be a 10/15 minute walk between different places / restaurants but we liked this aspect. Not much to see on foot outside of the resort so you definitely need a car if you want to explore. Overall very good.

24-June-2010 / Heather / Customer rating: ★★★★★★★
We had a great holiday at The Residence, Pine Cliffs. The apartments are very well equipped (dishwasher, washing machine, dryer)- it is very hard to think of anything that is not provided. The apartments are large - which felt very luxurious in comparison to a hotel room - and added greatly to our holiday. The complex offers great variety on your doorstep to entertain a 4 year old - the play park with lots of activities, beach, choice of pool, large areas just to run about in and also the resort train. Will definately return again. The location of the apartment can be very far from the main facilitates, but staff were happy to change it to accomodate us - otherwise this would have been an issue. The only thing which we would comment on was the welcome on arrival, which was very self service until you got to reception, which is fine, but not in keeping with that received elsewhere at accomodation of a similar standard.

23-June-2010 / Loretto Dalton / Customer rating: ★★★★★
We enjoyed our holiday in Pine Cliffs. Residence apartments were beautiful and well equipped. Staff were very friendly and service good. We found the cost of food and drink very high especially in the deli shop. In addition, the cost of eating in the hotel restaurants was too expensive relative to the food provided, i.e. not value for money. In particular for children 5 to 12 years. We booked, in advance, a transfer from Faro airport to hotel which cost €75. We arranged our own taxi for the return journey for €45. The hotel are charging too much.

We had a most enjoyable stay at the Pine Cliffs Resort Portugal, excellent food & facilities. Sadly some of the restaurants were closed which made finding somewhere to eat a bit difficult at times. The rooms were great, spacious & well maintained. The staff friendly & helpful. Overall we would consider returning without a doubt. Thank you, James Thompson & family.

We stayed in the Pine Cliffs Residences and the accommodation was fantastic- all very new and clean. Lovely furnishings and an excellent fully equipped kitchen. We had requested a sunny terrace and an apartment up near the Kids` Club and got both of these, we also paid the supplement for a ground floor apartment. Service was impeccable and the resort itself is beautifully laid out around a golf course and everything is very well looked after with lots of grassy areas for kids to play on. It was full of English and Irish families with young children when we were there (June) . The only downsides were: - everything was very spread out and it was a LONG walk to get anywhere - we have a 31/2 year old and a 10 month old and I really wish I`d taken the double buggy as it was just too far for him to walk everywhere (kept us fit though!) - the walk from the bottom of beach lift to the actual beach was a good 10 minutes with lots of steps so you couldn`t take a buggy which made going there virtually impossible for us. The beach was lovely when you got there though.- cost of food, it was really difficult to leave the resort as it was such a long walk and the restaurants in the resort were lovely - the buffet breakfast was fabulous though, I`d definitely book Bed and Breakfast before I go next time.

12-May-2010 / Jam / Customer rating: ★★★★★★
The resort was very good - good facilities, beautiful grounds, etc. We stayed in the Residence apartments which were an excellent standard but, having stayed in many 5 star resorts in the past I would have expected the apartment to be equiped with a DVD player and not have to pay 10 euros per day to rent it. A lot of the restaurants and pool bars were closed as it was middle season - this was not ideal. The kids club could be better - cleaner, more equipment for toddlers. There are lots of pools but only one outdoor heated one which was disappointing. Good resort but use of facilities expensive.
