Wonderful hotel with exceptional service. Beautiful setting and very quiet and relaxing. A real retreat.

A first class hotel in every respect. This was my third visit and it won`t be my last.

This hotel was fabulous. ALL the staff were exceptional, the service and attention to detail were above all other 5 star hotels we have stayed in around the world. The food was amazing at the breakfast buffet. The only criticism we have is that when we booked we did request a `quiet room in a quiet area of the hotel` which was on our booking form. However, when we arrived we were in a room overlooking the children`s swimming pool in the worst position possible. There was no tea and coffee facilities in the room, there was no dressing table and no way of plugging in hair appliances without an extension lead. There was no double sinks and no ironing board which are all usually standard in an upgraded 5 star hotel. This was disappointing, however on our 2nd day following a meeting with the Assistant Rooms Division Manager we were moved to a more suitable area of the hotel with a coffee and tea making facility and extension lead which did improve the situation. From then on the Manager was exceptional in his service and ensured the rest of our stay was fabulous. If the prices in the restaurants, especially for wine, had been more realistic we would have eaten more in the hotel in the evenings. Would recommend though was great!

We thought the hotel and staff were excellent, especially as we were there when it was only a quarter full. Our room was lovely and they decorated it for our 50 th wedding anniversary. We were a little surprised that our room did not qualify for a coffee machine or tea machine! However when we asked why they produced one for us, but it`s worth checking that your rooms do have these facilities. Due to the fact the hotel was so empty not all the dining rooms were open at night, but it meant we could go a la carte at no extra cost. (We were on half board). The food was fantastic. The balconies weren`t very private but that is my only complaint! We would love to go back at the same empty time of year!

Both my wife and I were extremely impressed with this hotel. the location, the service, food, facilities are all excellent. The decor of the rooms are beginning to be slightly dated however it didn`t detract from the holiday at all.

My husband and I together with my daughter and her partner stayed at the Anassa for a week and overall it surpassed previous 5* hotel stays:
The staff are excellent and their customer care could not be faulted, the rooms and views fabulous and the cleanliness could not have been improved.

We attended a wine tasting evening held in the hotel by the very personable and knowledgeable Taki (? )Would recommend!

We were a little perturbed on checking our rooms on arrival that there were no complimentary tea/coffee making facilities and when requesting this to be told there was a daily charge! However, after discussion we were provided with a kettle etc. although the cups and tea bag replenishment was a little hit and miss. A minor point in the whole experience but none the less just a niggle which could so easily have been avoided. After all we English do enjoy our cuppa tea to be readily available.

The family enjoyed another fantastic holiday at the Anassa in Cyprus. We requested specific adjoining suites on our booking form, and the hotel duly obliged. The senior management has changed since last year, and the hotel is still excellent. The staff, many of whom have been there since the hotel opened, are as professional as ever.

We had two issues. The fan in our room on arrival was shorting, producing a very acrid smell. This was reported to housekeeping in the morning. However, on returning to our room late afternoon, nothing had been done to rectify/replace it. After reporting the matter again to the staff at the main desk, the whole unit was replaced. I believe that checks should have been made to ensure everything in the room is in working order, and in a safe condition, prior to new guests occupying the room.

The only other issue we had was the amount we had to pay in advance on a credit card. On arrival, reception insisted on taking 250 euros per room per day, which in our case amounted to 7000 euros (14 days). This sum was queried, as we had paid for our holiday up front. Their response was that this is necessary because of non-payment issues with other guests in the past. I consider the amounts involved should be reviewed, as 7000 euros blocked on a credit card is excessive.

Travelbeam arrangements excellent; flight and transfer worked fine. Hotel lovely - good food and service but see message below I sent to the manager.

Dear Mr Wurst,

We had a lovely holiday at the Anassa and I have answered your two questions most positively. There are, however, two issues that I thought it might be helpful to share with you privately rather than on social media.

The first concerns children. We appreciate that the Anassa is a family-friendly hotel and have no real problem with that. During the day most children seemed to disappear, although it was surprising to find small children in the main pool, some even in nappies - never a pleasant sight, while the children’s pool (mosaic) was unoccupied. At mealtimes, particularly breakfast but in the evening too, it was difficult to find a quiet corner of the Amphora buffet restaurant. It was quieter in Helios but even at the Pelagos fish restaurant one could not escape the dreaded baby buggies, high chairs and screaming infants. The food and service were always excellent but you could not easily have a relaxed meal. A number of other guests told us that they had not been expecting this and that it would put them off returning.

The second point is about tipping, always a vexed question. Your menus all stated quite clearly that service and tax were included in the prices quoted and yet all bills came with a printed space to include a tip, which the staff clearly expected. This is just not on. You should either not include service (and lower your prices accordingly), allowing guests to reward service in the American style, or you should include service and not try to persuade customers to tip; they will reward good service if they wish. This is the preferred European way.

Neither of these points reduced our enjoyment of your excellent hotel but I suggest that they do need consideration before your reputation suffers.

The hotel ticked all the boxes. The room was excellent. The hotel facilities were good. The staff were excellent. There was a good choice of restaurants.

02-August-2014 / Jerry Cecile Pritchard / Customer rating: ★★★★★★★
We recently visited the Anassa, and once again enjoyed a fantastic holiday. The staff were as welcoming and efficient as always. We noted that all the beds and umbrellas around the pool areas had been replaced. The access path to the beach had been resurfaced and hand rails had been installed. We enjoyed a fantastic upgrade to our accommodation including a private pool which was greatly appreciated. Will definitely go back in the future.

02-August-2013 / English Family / Customer rating: ★★★★★★★
This was a perfect family holiday, a hotel that is simply there for you to enjoy, some of the best unfussy service we have experienced, (high approval also from 3 feisty teenagers/young adults!) in a lovely setting as if it had always been there and was "always" at its best without having to try!! Very good breakfast and interesting choice of Restaurants all enjoyed by us at least twice We enjoyed a variety of sports, the dive school and the spa, Drives to other parts of Cyprus were a pleasure in the hire car (4w drive air con excellent) fixed up for us by the front desk, within a few minutes of asking and at a reasonable price. Amazing Roman Mosaics in Paphos (acres of them) and well displayed. Back at Latchi- Sea and beach perfect!! Thank you.

01-August-2013 / Renne Rigby / Customer rating: ★★★★★★★
The staff are amazing, plentiful and so accommodating. Make you feel so special. We were always greeted with our name and made to feel special. Stayed for 14 nights and wish it could have been longer. Fabulous hotel and wonderful staff. Stayed on HB board basis and recommend you eat at Helios or Peligos restaurants. In those two restaurants there is a suggested Chef`s Menu but customers on HB can go `off piste` and change one of the courses, the service and food are both excellent (especially Helios). Weekly Beach BBQ and Village Square dinners are not to be missed. The buffet restaurant provides a fantastic choice for breakfast, and for dinner there is also a good selection, however I would avoid the English/French evening - shepherd`s pie/roast beef & yorkshire puds not for me. The hotel pools are super, huge number of comfortable sunbeds. Choice of water sports is huge and the staff very helpful, knowledgeable and take time to explain the various activities available. SPA is beautiful. Its not a cheap holiday and if I had one niggle it would be that the hotel should provide a complimentary bottle of water each evening with the turndown service.

21-October-2012 / Lyndsay Dalby / Customer rating: ★★★★★★
The Anassa is a beautiful hotel and perfect for families particularly with younger children. The food is excellent. The indoor spa and treatments were both excellent with fantastic Organic Pharmacy products. The service was good and the rooms large and bathrooms smart. The beach is very nice. The buffet restaurant was varied and of a good standard. The other two restaurants which were adult only were unnecessarily expensive - much more expensive than top London restaurants. So with children the buffet was the only real option. The downside is that the main pool is unheated and therefore too cold to swim in, particularly by October. THe sea was actually warmer. It felt tight of the hotel not to provide still water but to charge 5 euros a bottle - hence we had quite a large bill when we checked out even though we were half board - £1,500 drinks bill in fact. We were often the last guests in the restaurant and bars at 10.30, there is no night life or entertainment for teenage children. Between the transfer and the hotel we lost a piece of luggage and very little effort was made to find it. We actually found it in left luggage when we reutrned a week later at the airport depsite the hotel assuring us they had phoned the airport - they clearly hadn`t. But all in all a very nice hotel and we would go again.

16-August-2012 / John Goldsmith / Customer rating: ★★★★★★★
We could`nt fault the Hotel in anyway the staff were attentive and friendly and everything was done without having to keep asking. We went for half board and the evening buffets were of the highest quality each night .Rooms were spotless all in all would go back tomorrow if we could.

13-September-2010 / Anon / Customer rating: ★★★★★★
We had never been to Cyprus before and were very impressed generally. The Anassa is a lovely hotel and manages a good balance between luxury and being family friendly. It was very relaxing. We stayed 10 days which was probably a bit too long as there was not enough to do to other than the beach and pool, and it was too hot to do any sightseeing.

20-November-2009 / Carrie / Customer rating: ★★★★★
Overall, the resort was nice. It is not the best place for a family. Spa was lovely. Kids` Club was nice, though quite quiet. There were many ferile cats roaming the resort. They were especially present at the main breakfast and dinner restaurant. This was off putting for us. We enjoyed our stay but will not return.

02-September-2009 / Rachel K / Customer rating: ★★★★★
The hotel was stunning and the room was large and comfortable. the service was excellent and staff took the trouble to learn our names. The food was excellent but very expensive- a steak in the Signature restaurant was 120 Euros! Even in high season the hotel did not feel full because there were many options to swim/ sun bath and eat. This is probably one of the best hotels I have stayed in and would highly recommend it for people with deep pockets!
