I stayed at Princesa Yaiza in mid April 2018 with my husband and 3 year old twins. The private pick up from the airport which was organised from Travelbeam was seamless and they had car seats fitted in ready for the kids. The hotel is very grand, spacious and very well kept. Check in was easy with a nice welcome drink after such an early flight. The person who took us on the tour of the hotel along the way to our rooms was very friendly and helpful and ensured we knew where all the facilities were for the kids etc. The big soft play for the kids was brill and perfect as we could drop the kids off for a short time whilst we went and sat round the pool for half an hour. There was plenty of activities going on all day at the Kiko club too, but only went  couple of times. As there was so many pools it gave guests the option, however at this time of year I found that the pools were too cold. The heated ones were better however the wind meant that it was very cold as soon as you got out.
The rooms had everything we needed as we opted for a two bedroom, two bathroom family suite with a balcony looking over the pool. I wouldnt say the rooms are 5* however there was absolutely nothing wrong with them and were spacious and cleaned very well. All the staff were very friendly and happy and smiley towards us and the kids. They never batted an eyelid when a tantrum erupted! We opted for the Half Board Deluxe option which we couldn`t fault! We were allowed to use all 7 restaurants in the hotel (3 buffet & 4 Ala Carte) which meant that it was not the same thing for me and my husband every night, and meant that we could try some new foods on the kids! The standard of the food was very good especially when your dealing with overtired 3 year olds at the dinner table. Isla de Loba & the Japanese Restaurant I would definitely recommend and would visit again if we were there. The beach in front of the hotel was nice and good for building sand castles on. Not too busy and clean.

I have been numerous times. Good hotel overall but I feel they to upgrade more all over to keep the 5 star rating which I don`t think it is that rating currently. Restaurants need to change also same thing and very expensive for what you get.

03-May-2017 / Linda / Customer rating: ★★★★★
We went to this hotel for the past 8 years but it was the first time at Easter.  The standard was not as high as usual which was disappointing.  No one helped during the 10 days we stayed with the umbrellas which are difficult to open, main pool was full of rubbish on windy days and glasses not collected for ages at the terrace.  One of the receptionist was rude about booking tennis at reception as she wanted us to walk all the way to Kikoland whilst she could do it online and she was not busy with other waiting guests.  Some issues at the buffets as well. Our feeling was that they were understaffed...

13-February-2017 / James S / Customer rating: ★★★★★★
I must admit not being accustomed to the `package holiday` I was entering the week away with some trepidation. However, after arriving at the hotel after a very eventful flight (13 month old vomiting everywhere!!) clutching a bag of soiled clothing and being somewhat bedraggled we were very much welcomed and comforted with a complimentary laundry service and a much needed glass or 2 of cava!
We stayed in a family room in D block which was perfect for our needs - very clean and tidy and all the facilities we could need having a small child with us. The pool was immaculate in our block as were all the others. The set up was fantastic for children of all ages. The food was great and plentiful. The staff were very engaging. Overall I would recommend this hotel to anyone but especially families with young children. There is so much to do for kids - soft play, different pool, events and different activities every day.
We will be returning soon....lets just hope the flight next time is less disastrous!

Beautiful hotel with friendly staff, nothing too much trouble. Bottle of wine given as it was my husbands birthday and room with a sea view. Only criticism was we couldn`t connect to wifi and wanted to show rest of family how fab it was, but unable to, although the lady on reception did put a password in for me, but it wouldn`t connect very well.

03-October-2016 / Colin L / Customer rating: ★★★★★★
Lovely hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was looking on to car park with a minimal sea view. Food was excellent. Disappointed Japanese restaurant was their night off which we had hoped to give this restaurant a second visit from previous visit to playa Blanca.

07-September-2016 / Tim H / Customer rating: ★★★★★★★
An excellent hotel with a great range of facilities, restaurants and bars. Our children had an amazing time in the kids club and would love to go back again next year. Staff were always friendly and it is an excellent place to relax and unwind.

15-March-2016 / Caroline Royle / Customer rating: ★★★★★
Overall this is a very good hotel, with the staff being their main asset, who are always courteous and helpful. The décor in the room A418 is looking a little tired, especially in the bathroom with cracks in the sink and toilet and these really should be improved and replaced. We did ask for a quiet room, as I am a very light sleeper, and unfortunately, this was not the case the noise from the upstairs rooms travels loudly through as furniture moves on tiled floors. Also a warning about the Carnival in Playa Blanca would have been nice as the noise from the Music on Friday and especially Saturday night went on well past midnight. None of these are sufficient to deter a further visit.

9-November-2015 / Mrs Weston / Customer rating: ★★★★★★
Lovely hotel with excellent kids club facilities for babies to teens. Great sized rooms for families. Staff very helpful. Lots to do and very Central location to both harbour and marina. Negatives: Sunbed packed together like sardines, Buffet restaurant is extortionate at €38 a head

15-October-2015 / Caroline / Customer rating: ★★★★★★
From the moment you walk out from the baggage collection at the airport you are taken care of with gentle respect and in a polite relaxed manner. The hotel itself is marvellous, wonderfully arranged so as not to feel too over crowded or overwhelmingly large despite its number of rooms. I was lucky enough to stay in a suite as travelling with my mother, it was truly fabulous and the attention to detail in the room is second to none. If you want a luxury rest away from the daily busy routines we all have then this is most definitely a choice I would recommend. If you go enjoy everything, rest, recharge and come home fully refreshed having been taken care of without question or compromise.

Princess Yaiza is a fantastic family hotel with wonderful facilities for children, especially the kids club. We cannot wait to go again.

11-September-2015 / Judith Avis / Customer rating: ★★★★★★
Hotel very good A few too many people and seating around the pools and reserving sun beds difficult. The food was a little disappointing in quality, even though it was plentiful. Great for kids, pity extras were rather expensive. On the whole we had a good holiday.

19-August-2015 / Antonia / Customer rating: ★★★★★★★
Second visit to this hotel. Lovely, clean hotel with great service, food and plenty to do for the whole family.

12-August-2015 / Fiona Hanrahan / Customer rating: ★★★★★
Great staff. Great location in the village. Food is not bad in general. The Japanese is good. Breakfast is good. The Mexican is awful. Football club is fantastic. The pool area is far too small to accommodate both parts of the hotel. The sunbed policy just doesn`t work and they tried a few different policies during my 12 days there, one of which lead to fighting around the pool! Anyone I spoke to felt that the continued sunbed problems were not in keeping with a 5 star hotel. It felt low rent to be honest. It doesn`t matter how many staff they have around the pool, there is not space. Also the sunbeds are a bit grotty (I used baby wipes on mine most mornings) and the umbrellas are falling apart, I took some photos to show management but didn`t get around to it.
The pool bar is almost funny because the service is so slow and bad. Strange as the hotel could make a lot more money there if they improved the service there. Also, there is no sense that Management appreciate returning guests. It`s as if they know that they are busy and don`t need to try too hard. All of the above is a shame as this hotel has a lot going for it. On paper it is 5 star but some important things let it down.

04-August-2015 / Holly / Customer rating: ★★★★★★★
Can`t fault anything about the holiday. Room, food, staff, location, adult and children`s entertainment was just perfect! The hotel photography staff deserve a special mention as the captured some special memories for us which are priceless. We can`t wait to return.

04-August-2015 / Samantha D / Customer rating: ★★★★★★★
We had a really fantastic time at the Yaiza. It was our second time there and everything from start to finish of the holiday was brilliant. We loved the family area and breakfast selection and the set up of the family suites was perfect for a family with 3 children. The kids had a blast with Kiko and the softplay was great fun. We will defintiely be returning. Great value for money.

30-June-2015 /Anna Irvin/ Customer rating: ★★★★★★
Very impressed with the hotel, excellent customer service, really good facilities and all spotlessly clean, perfect for anyone with small children. Only issue is that the resteraunts all close after lunch and do not open until 6.30 so can be late eating for small children. There is a small supermarket nearby to buy snacks but would be good to have an all day cafe on site.

16-June-2015 /David/ Customer rating: ★★★★★★★
This is now the second time we have visited the resort. Having 3 children it is extremely important to me that there is a relaxed atmosphere. Some places you don`t feel like you can take your children however at this hotel they have made the whole place very child friendly. Everything is extremely clean and all the staff will literally bend over backwards to ensure you enjoy your stay. I will certainly return for a third time.

19-March-2015 /Andrew Dickinson/ Customer rating: ★★★★★★
The hotel Princesa Yaiza was very well run and generally exceeded our expectations. We went with our 8 month old twins and 3 year old son and the adjacent suites worked very well as my parents also came with us. Our double buggy fitted in the lifts and all levels around the pool had ramp access. The hotel is well placed for the sea front and a short walk to the harbour and local restaurants which were very good and a fair amount cheaper than the hotel. Our son enjoyed the childrens area `Kiko Land` and it was safe and well staffed. The pool areas were good with a plenty of options. If i had to be critical I would say that there were too many sunbeds / loungers crammed around the pools. The hotel is massive and I assume it needs to cater for everyone wanting a sun bed, however despite the large pools they really were crammed in and not all being used. Overall very good.

18-March-2015 /Ross Milburn/ Customer rating: ★★★★★★
Excellent large hotel with very good facilities and high levels of service. I would recommend it for families.

13-February-2015 /John Macdonald/ Customer rating: ★★★★★★★
Very comfortable hotel with lots of amenities. The suite we had was large and with lots of room for clothes etc. If I had to pick any fault with the suite it would be that it was slightly old fashioned, particularly the bathroom. The food in the Los Logos was excellent, although the service could slow at times. We had bad weather when we were there and we found the room (we had to ask for a fan heater in our room) and the hotel in general was cold. The staff were excellent and could not do enough for you. We will not be returning to Lanzarote due to the poor weather, however the hotel was excellent and would recommend it to our friends.

Excellent food, room, location, staff, everything . Very enjoyable holiday.

07-January-2015 /AMB/ Customer rating: ★★★★★★★
What a beautiful hotel with fantastic staff. We were there in early December so quieter than normal so for us lovely. A couple of restaurants were closed but that wasn`t a problem as  there are many others on the doorstep. As it was almost Christmas we were invited to the switching on of the Christmas lights which was beautiful, champagne handed round, and a lovely choir. All facilities were great although I imagine in the peak season it would be very busy. My only negative was the weather unfortunately out of the hotels control, although we did miss the previous weeks rain and storms and saw sun most days.

14-October-2014 /Hayden Murphy/ Customer rating: ★★★★★★★
From the moment we arrived we found the Princesa Yazia to be the most beautiful hotel, the staff, the hotel, the atmosphere, everything!! Our first holiday with our 18 month old little boy was so "easy". Such a family friendly resort with all the luxurys for the adults too. We thouroughly enjoyed our stay here!

14-August-2014 /Fiona/ Customer rating: ★★★★★
I am not convinced that this hotel should be graded as a 5 star hotel. I guess the facilities help a lot with the grading. It is a perfect hotel for children. We go for the football club. It is a bit dated but the hotel is kept very clean. However the pool area is a bit tired and scruffy. The wifi is very patchy. I requested and was promised a wifi booster but after a few days gave up expecting it. Most of the staff are fantastic but the waiting staff in the restaurants and juice bar are ridiculously short staffed, to the point of comedy. I know that the hotel is interested in comments from the guests and do try to sort problems. However, the keeping of sunbeds by guest who then go missing is a huge problem and seems to be ignored by management. The food is good, not amazing, but as I travel with a 12 year old boy it`s not a deal breaker for me.
I will return because the football club is such a big hit.

30-June-2014 /David/ Customer rating: ★★★★★★★
We dealt with Natalie who was extremely helpful and knowledgable in recommending the Princesa Yaiza! This was to be our first proper family holiday in a resort. We have 3 children aged 2, 4 and 7 so the prospect of going away isnt always that appealing with the concerns about the childrens behaviour and will there be enough there to keep them entertained. We were picked up from the airport in a private hire minibus that was very clean - the drive to the hotel was also a short one which was a blessing as the children had been on the flight. When we arrived at the hotel I was speechless. The entrance to the hotel is amazing and we were met by concierge who quickly took our bags off us and ushered us into the main reception area where we were offered champagne and fresh orange juice for the children. We stayed in the family block and the room was amazing. If I could describe the hotel in one word it would have to be clean - and I mean spotless! The atmosphere around the family pools was great and actually a lot quieter than the main pools. The staff could not do enough for us and the childrens entertainment was exceptional. We will definitely be going back next year! It`s worth noting also that Travelbeam were considerably cheaper than anywhere else.!

Very good accomodation. Family Suite really spacious and beds really very comfortable.

11-April-2014 / Wilson Family / Customer rating: ★★★★★★★
Lovely hotel, great restaurants and kids` club. Can`t fault anything and would recommend the hotel.A little problem on arriving at hotel, my son still had difficulty getting two rooms adjoining in spite of all your requests by e-mail, etc. I know this is probably the hotel`s fault but it is a shame they can`t take requests like ours seriously as it could spoil an holiday.

20-February-2014 / Colin / Customer rating: ★★★★★★★
This is our 4th holiday at the Princess Yaiza and it still maintains a very high standard. That just about says it all ,if you keep going back ,something must be right! Give it a try , we are sure you won`t be disappointed.

Very pleased with the full package.

27-October-2013 / Jennifer Watt / Customer rating: ★★★★★★★
I found the whole experience of staying in the Princesa Yaiza Suite Hotel Resort wonderful. The staff could not do enough for you. The restaurants were excellent. I did not eat in the Japanese restaurant but I believe it is very good. We were upgraded to a Junior Suite which was first class, although I would expect that all the rooms would be of a high standard. I would say that it is very children orientated and during the school holidays I would imagine it to be very busy with children, but they have separate areas for swimming and recreation so it was not a problem for my husband and I. I can`t wait to go back.

09-August-2013 / Mr & Mrs K Mcdonald / Customer rating: ★★★★★★
Overall a great holiday holiday again. Nothing too much trouble for the staff and the amenities are superb for both children and adults. The childrens entertainment is great especially at night, even though it has changed since last year. Only minor comment would be that the childrens entertainment has been shortened at night now, not sure it is the best move especially being a family hotel. Private transfers were seamless as always no issues. Overall an enjoyable holiday this was return visit and stayed now is both areas of the complex. The family area block D was superb and the family room brilliant. Thanks again

08-August-2013 / Louise Sutton / Customer rating: ★★★★★★
The Princess Yaiza is a lovely hotel - spotlessly clean and with beautiful pools! The location in Playa Blanca is superb - right next to the beach and easy to walk everywhere. We loved the buffet style breakfast and vast array of options on offer. The Princess Yaiza is great for children - everything is available but there is no obligation to join in. The suites are lovely and spacious and the staff all very friendly and genuinely seem to want you to have a great holiday!

01-August-2013 / Peter Turner / Customer rating: ★★★★★★★
Brilliant Hotel, everything we hoped for with great kids facilities and entertainment. Junior Suite room was ideal. Cot was there as booked and hotel were able to supply a high chair that we could keep on the balcony for our entire stay making it easier to feed our baby before heading out to dinner. Fantastic breakfast buffet. Only criticism was main heated pool should have been slightly warmer and kids pool was miles too cold - it was always completely empty with often a dozen children crammed in the warm Jacuzzi which was a shame. Other small negative was that food, drink and ice-creams served around the pool area were very expensive meaning we didn`t order much with a number of supermarkets close by where prices were about 75% cheaper so worth the walk. Would definitely return.

01-August-2013 / Fiona Hanrahan / Customer rating: ★★★
I feel that it is a very average 5 star hotel. The food is good but not great. The cleaning and maintenance is very good. The wi-fi is a HUGE problem here, even with the booster that I was given for the room. And is very important to me. The bed hogging by the pool is out of control. I tried very hard not to do it but realised after 2 days that if I didn`t get up at 7.30am I would not get a seat even close to the pool!! So very very annoying on holidays. The staff are lovely ( mostly). But Spanish people without doubt get better treatment. The football club is a great success.

09-July-2013 / Alan Taggart / Customer rating: ★★★★★★★
Hotel was absolutely fine, would go back this afternoon if I could afford it. Can you keep an eye out on any deals for me please. Hotel staff very attentive and friendly. Food superb, rooms fantastic would advise you get one with a sea view. Very happy with the way Travelbeam handled the booking as well.

Fantastic hotel in every way from accommodation (perfect suite for 4 of us with good views on an upper level as requested), amazing children`s facilities keeping them entertained the whole time and giving the parents some much needed time off! Fantastic evening entertainment too with eldest daughter appearing in a show.Truly memorable holiday and very impressed with Travelbeam`s organisation of transfer with a lovely car and 2 car seats already waiting for our children as well as the request for a particular room fulfilled. We will definitely book with Travelbeam again.

I can`t speak highly enough about this hotel. I would recommend it to anyone.

14-August-2012 / Val S / Customer rating: ★★★★★★★
Fantastic Hotel! Large hotel but did not seem over crowded. We were upgraded to a junior suite which was lovely. The room was very spacious and well equipped. My only criticism would be the lack of tea/coffee in the room. There was one day`s supply then if you wanted more you had to pay. We just kept any spare tea bags from breakfast for the room! The buffet Breakfast was absolutely fantastic. There was a choice of three restaurants offering the same food. The choice was amazing and the quality was excellent. We did not eat in the hotel in the evening as we preferred to find restaurants in Playa Blanca. All the staff were attentive and professional and went out of their way to make your stay perfect. All in all a lovely hotel. Would definitely recommend and would not hesitate to return.

31-July-2012 / F & P Hughes / Customer rating: ★★★★★★★
We had a wonderful holiday in Lanzarote and found the hotel excellent. The staff were always keen to help and nothing was ever too much trouble. Rooms were a good size and serviced efficiently each day. The breakfasts were delicious and although the hotel was busy, breakfast was always relaxed and enjoyable. We loved the children`s club and our 2 children aged 6 and 9 were always keen to go and enjoy the fun. The childcare was great and all staff were enthusiastic and keen to ensure the children had fun. Lanzarote was a great island and as we had a hire car, we travelled around and also went on the volcano trip. We ate at local restaurants and found these excellent. Our one criticism of the hotel is that the restaurants are expensive. All in all a great holiday at reasonable prices.

31-July-2012 / The Swiss Family / Customer rating: ★★★★★★★
It was all just so easy! This place does tick all those boxes for a great family holiday. We`re a family of 5, the kids had their own bedroom and the kitchenette area was just enough if you wanted to have some of you own bits and pieces. There wasn`t any plastic cups or plates though so if your children are very young you may need to bring these along. Food all fab, although service slow in the Italian was slow but that may have just been that particular service. The kids club is just `awesome` so use my 7yr olds words, and my 10yr old just wanted to stay there the whole time. Lots & lots for them to do. Our 3yr dipped in and out too. There was Wind surfing, kayaking, tennis, science days, art and a daily show - they were totally pooped by the end of the 2 weeks. Out of the resort there are some places to visit and eat or shop but to be honest we were so lazy on this holiday we only ventured out 3 times - one boat trip across to Fuertaventura which our 3yr old loved. Nothing too cultural to pressure you into leaving the resort. This is a similar place to Aphrodite Hills but without the golf.

05-July-2012 / Reb / Customer rating: ★★★★★★
Very good family holiday destination. Large hotel and complex so everyone could spread out. Lovely 2 bed family suite. The multiple-levels are a bit annoying with a pushchair. Great food apart from the tapas restaurant which was poor.

05-May-2012 / Antonia Kerr / Customer rating: ★★★★★★
Great hotel, only down side is the pools need to be heated more and they tried to charge us 10 euro an hour on our last day for late check out which was never mentioned to us when we booked - in the end we didnt need to pay it but as an expensive holiday we thought this was unnecessary. Finally, we got horribly delayed on the way out with Monarch. Otherwise a great holiday.

17-April-2012 / Fiona McAnena / Customer rating: ★★★★★
This is a good hotel priced like an outstanding one. The main appeal of Lanzarote is of course the reliable weather, but if your standard is the five star resort hotels on the Algarve, then the Princesa Yaiza may disappoint you. The rooms are spacious enough but aren`t especially comfortable. The sitting area of the family suites has an uncomfortable sofa and not much else, so you can`t really lounge about there as a group. The breakfast buffets are large and diverse, but three of the four breakfast restaurants are bland and dull, and feel a bit like a school canteen. The staff are helpful and friendly and there seems to be a lot going on for younger children - 7 and below. For older kids, and their parents, it`s a bit annoying to have to put a one euro coin in the slot of every game in the games room (air hockey, table football, pool, etc). For this price, I`d expect credits in the games room. There are a couple of swimming pools, and two nice tennis courts for which there is no extra charge, but no gardens or grounds. The hotel restaurants are pricey without being great - we ate at the Italian one, and could taste nothing but garlic, so we didn`t go back. The Japanese restaurant is a great spectacle and the food is good too, so worth it as a treat - I recommend choosing a range of dishes to share from the menu, as the portions are generous and you`ll get more variety that way than if you go with the tasting menu, which is expensive and you all end up with the same dishes.

Travelbeam were excellent throughout the whole booking and confirmation process. They had excellent knowledge of the resort. Princess Yaiza Suite Hotel Resort is a superb resort where you have the right blend of luxury whilst at the same time being perfect for families with young children. We had a fabulous week at the Princess Yaiza Suite Hotel Resort.

We had a most enjoyable holiday at the Princess Yaiza Hotel in Lanzarote, and have only one criticism of the otherwise excellent hotel facilities. The swimming pools were not heated, and early in the season, although the weather was good, the pool water was uncomfortably cold. It was noticeable that there were very few swimmers in a full hotel. It would require only a very small increase in the hotel tariff to cover the cost of heating the pools.

The hotel was excellent - we could not fault the service, rooms or anything. Any little problem was dealt with immediately and efficiently. The atmosphere was calm and tranquil - just what was needed in our case. The public areas were excellent - very clean and comfortable. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone. We were extremely lucky with the weather but I am sure it would have been just as enjoyable otherwise. Fabulous!

10 day B&B holiday with 3 year old and 1 year old October 2010 Lovely spacious family suite (upgraded to Kiko Suite) with 2 bedrooms. Plenty space and basic kitchenette Due to time of year kids activities not in full swing. Kiko buffet and snack bar not open and buffet over at Block D also not open. Made catering for little ones harder. Don`t think an extra effort was made to involve kids in actvities even though the hotel was quiet. Service good and staff overall very friendly Pools are on cold side for younger children Overall enjoyable holiday for young family.

I highly recommend this hotel especailly if you have children. The location was perfect with a crystal clear ocean right outside the hotel and the pools were gorgeous. Oh and the morning buffets are something to remember. We are already thinking when we can go again in the future.
